School Caretaker (Accommodation Provided)

Venn Group is working with a highly-rated school to recruit for a Residential Caretaker to support their reactive and planned maintenance across the site.

You’ll be provided a homely 2 bedroom cottage (no rental to pay) on school grounds, alongside a great benefits package.

Minimum Salary: £30,000

Duration: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week (split shifts) plus on call

Location: Berkshire

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Carry out site checks, ensuring the site looks presentable and is secure, with any issues swiftly reported
  • Act as out-of-ours security and emergency maintenance operative, being readily available
  • Set up areas for events, move furniture as required and clear rubbish / debris
  • Manage deliveries and storage across the site
  • Ensure the swimming pool is maintained and safe for use, managing the water quality through testing and chemicals
  • Be an active part of the Fire Warden team, readily available to investigate alarms when required
  • Carry out ad-hoc maintenance when required

The successful candidate will have:

  • Clean UK Driving License
  • Previous experience as Premises Or Site Operative or Caretaker
  • Education experience is desirable
