Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer / Field Sales Representative required to join a leading engineering supplier of electromechanical products and services.


The successful Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer / Field Sales Representative will be pivotal in driving the expansion of the compressed air products and services throughout Oxford and Berkshire. You will be responsible for selling a broad range of equipment, including compressors, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers, and dryers, to various industries across these regions.


The Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer / Field Sales Representative will ideally have experience in sales within the industrial or engineering sectors, or a strong desire to learn and adapt to a new industry with comprehensive product training. Comfort with cold calling and prospecting is essential, as you will be actively seeking new business opportunities and developing relationships with key accounts.

£25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer / Field Sales Representative Role

Focus on generating new business opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, and canvassing to expand our client base.
Managing a number of key accounts via end user channels for a product range consisting of compressors, vacuum pumps, dryers & filters and other similar pneumatic / compressed air related equipment into various industries.
Manage and grow existing relationships and regular business development selling compressed air products and services.
Maintaining new compressor sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
Working closely with the compressed air service department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Fully remote, covering Oxford and Berkshire.Occasional travel to the office in southwest London at least once a week.


Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer / Field Sales Representative Requirements

Experience in field sales, B2B sales, internal sales, or similar sales role with a willingness to open business opportunities with a reputable engineering company.Comprehensive product training will be provided, offering an excellent foundation for long-term career progression and growth within the organization.
Service Engineers looking to come off the tools and progress into a sales role would also be of interest.
Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable engineering company.
A technical qualification, engineering background, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
Knowledge of the compressed air market such as compressors, vacuum systems, filtration, blowers & dryers, downstream equipment, nitrogen generators, MRO, pumps, valves, rotating equipment, or similar engineering products / services is advantageous however not essential where full product training is provided.
Full clean driving license. Willingness to travel across the South UK including Oxford, Berkshire, Surrey and surrounding areas and commute to the office in Greater London regularly during the training period.
