ROLE – Chemical Engineer  SALARY - £30,000- £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)TYPE – PermanentLOCATION – West Berkshire (hybrid / remote working is available)My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in West Berkshire on a permanent basis.     The Chemical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • At least 1-2 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • Strong Design skills with the ability to design new processes
  • Ideally be Degree qualified in a Chemical discipline 
  • Knowledge of / experienced with thermal processes
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Understands 2D and 3D CAD
  • Excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include:
  • Solving problems and improving engineering processes
  • Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans  
  • Liaising with other departments to manage such projects 
  • Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met 
  • Running trials and experiments in an R&D environment 
  • Design equipment layouts 
  • Maintaining technical documentation as required 
  • Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry 
  • Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
