Senior Scientist in Synthetic Organic Chemistry

Are you a passionate and innovative Synthetic Organic Chemist ready to take your career to the next level? Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to contribute to cutting-edge projects aimed at developing the next generation of weed control products.

  • Contract Type: Temporary (Initial 12-month contract with potential to extend/convert)

Key Responsibilities:As a Senior Scientist, you will play a crucial role in:

    • Synthesis:- Independently and collaboratively design safe, sustainable, and effective synthetic routes to target molecules.
      - Execute synthesis with precision, leveraging support platforms to maximise efficiency.
      - Develop creative solutions to complex synthetic challenges, extending your expertise beyond your immediate projects.
      • Continuous Improvement:- Stay at the forefront of modern synthetic methods and technologies through ongoing personal development.
        - Champion the adoption of innovative methodologies within the Syngenta Chemistry community.
        - Proactively enhance laboratory safety, efficiency, and workflows.
        - Document all risk assessments, experimental procedures, and data with scientific accuracy.

What We're Looking For:

        • Education: Ph.D. in organic chemistry or equivalent industry experience.
        • Experience:
        - Excellent knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry, with a strong practical skill set.
        - Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate scientific concepts.
        - Autonomy in planning, organising, and prioritising tasks to achieve high productivity.
