Electrical Site Supervisor (Nuclear) – 6-Month Initial Contract – Outside IR35 – Reading – SC Cleared

VIQU have partnered with a leading consultancy who deliver critical projects in energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing, with this Electrical Site Supervisor role being part of the Nuclear team.

The role:

The successful Electrical Site Supervisor will oversee the delivery of Electrical Control Systems on a nuclear site. The successful candidate must be able to support the Engineers with installation, test, and commissioning activities, so a background in Electrical Engineering is paramount.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee installation and customer acceptance of Control Systems on Nuclear sites.
• Management of a team of Electrical Engineers as well as external suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Liaison and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support with Electrical Installation / Test / Commissioning, including site surveys and production of electrical drawings / specs.

Key skills & experience:

• Background in electrical engineering / ECI & I, and ability to support electrical installation / test / commissioning activities.
• Holds relevant certifications (i.e. valid Safety Passport, Black Card (CSCS Black Manager Card), SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme). Nominated point of contact for Health & Safety, First Aid.
• Awareness of NEC3/4 contracts
• CDM Training relevant to site
• Regular reporting & client liaison
• Good people management skills – this includes in-house teams and external suppliers
• SC Clearance
