Job Title: French Speaking Credit Controller

Location: Reading (Permanent) Hybrid 

Salary: Up to £32,500

I am currently partnered with a global organisation that is a market leader within their field. To support the continued growth of the business, they are recruiting for a French-speaking credit controller to join their dynamic finance team. This role involves managing credit control process  for French-speaking clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the entire payment process, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery of invoices to clients, followed by effective collections management.
  • Reconcile incoming payments with outstanding invoices and update financial systems accordingly.
  • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and allocate payments to supplier accounts.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of cash and card General Ledgers (GLs), investigating any anomalies and ensuring accurate records.
  • Communicate and document any discrepancies or fraud concerns, ensuring prompt escalation.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in all financial records.
  • Upload and review fuel and shop expenses, investigating variances where necessary.
  • Post ad hoc journal entries as required to maintain accurate financial reporting.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve payment issues, ensuring a professional and effective resolution process.

Desired experience & skillset

  • Fluent in French, both written and spoken.
  • Previous experience in Credit controll or a similar finance role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
