Looking for a Data Migration Analyst who will be responsible for defining, planning, executing and reconciling the migration of data within AzureDuration - 3 months Contract - inside IR35Location:ReadingWe are looking for passionate IT professionals to join our dynamic new team that is responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing applications that are used across the client's landscape. You will be working in a fun, self-managing Agile team with a strong culture of teamwork, support and accountability.Current focus in the team is the re-write of the back end of an existing application to make the application more stable, supportable and scalable. We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, planning, executing and reconciling the migration of data within Azure, from blob storage to an Azure SQL database solution.The ideal candidate will have experience with Azure data migration tools and technologies, as well as a strong understanding of data migration best practices, including data reconciliation.Key responsibilities:

  • Understand the data migration and reconciliation requirements and develop data migration specifications and plans
  • Design, implement and execute data migration solutions using appropriate technologies for the Azure environment
  • Perform data migration trials and troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues
  • Develop and execute reconciliation reporting to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful data migration and integration with existing systems
  • Document data migration processes and procedures

What do I need?To be considered for this role, we would need you to have:

  • Demonstrable experience in data migration projects as a senior or lead analyst, preferably with some exposure to Azure cloud-based solutions
  • Strong understanding of data migration best practices and methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience migrating data from JSON-like file structures to SQL databases
  • Experience with Azure data migration tools and technologies, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Migration Service
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
