Base Location: Reading/Havant/London/Glasgow

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week / Full time
Duration: 3-6 Months
Current focus in the team is the re-write of the back end of an existing application to make the application more stable, supportable and scalable. We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, planning, executing and reconciling the migration of data within Azure, from blob storage to an Azure SQL database solution.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Azure data migration tools and technologies, as well as a strong understanding of data migration best practices, including data reconciliation.
Key responsibilities:
路Understand the data migration and reconciliation requirements and develop data migration specifications and plans
路Design, implement and execute data migration solutions using appropriate technologies for the Azure environment
路Perform data migration trials and troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues
路Develop and execute reconciliation reporting to ensure data accuracy and completeness
路Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful data migration and integration with existing systems
路Document data migration processes and procedures
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would need you to have:
路Demonstrable experience in data migration projects as a senior or lead analyst, preferably with some exposure to Azure cloud-based solutions
路Strong understanding of data migration best practices and methodologies
路Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
路Previous experience migrating data from JSON-like file structures to SQL databases
路Experience with Azure data migration tools and technologies, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Migration Service
路Excellent communication and collaboration skills
路Ability to work independently and as part of a team
