Network IT are looking for a Records & Retention Officer, where you will oversee the management, organization, and compliance of both electronic and paper-based records. You'll develop retention policies, enforce compliance with data regulations, and educate staff on effective records management.
Key Responsibilities:
? Records Management - Oversee electronic & paper-based records, ensuring compliance with retention standards
? Retention & Disposal Policies - Develop and enforce retention schedules for IT systems and business records&
? Regulatory Compliance - Ensure adherence to GDPR, FOI, and OFWAT regulations
? Records System Development - Establish and maintain records management system
? Policy Enforcement - Assess and improve record-keeping systems to align with data policies
? Staff Training - Educate employees on best practices for records management
Experience Required
? Records Management Expertise - Proven experience leading records management functions
? Data Governance & Compliance Knowledge - Understanding of GDPR, data protection & lifecycle management
? Technical Proficiency - Familiarity with data architecture, databases & storage solutions
? Strategic Thinking - Ability to assess data ecosystems, implement quality standards & drive change
