Overview:

?Are you ready to play a pivotal role in driving innovation and securing funding in the space industry? As a Bid Manager, you will work closely with the Business Development (BD) team, leading bid processes from inception to submission and contributing to commercial sales and proposal production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring all bid volumes are delivered on schedule.
  • Implement bid execution strategies, including bid/no-bid assessments, reviews (gold/red team), and win-theme analysis.
  • Manage bid finances, collaborating with internal finance teams and external partners on multi-partner or consortium-style projects.
  • Contribute to ESA ministerial submissions and support program financial estimations.
  • Develop member state pitch forms in collaboration with the business analysis team.
  • Enhance bid processes and integrate them into the sales pipeline.
  • Monitor bid opportunities across ESA, EU, and UKSA, recommending suitable projects for available calls.
  • Assist the business analysis team with customer and competitor analyses.

What we’re looking for:

  • Educated to BSc in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven bid management experience in the space industry.
  • Familiarity with the full lifecycle of UKSA and ESA bids (e.g., ARTES, GSTP, ITTs, UKSA SST).
  • Expertise in creating bids of varying complexity—from short expressions of interest to comprehensive mission/service proposals.
  • Skilled in compiling key bid volumes: technical, commercial, financial, management, contractual, and risk.
  • Understanding of the ESA ecosystem and bidding processes.
