Our client is looking for an experienced Document Controller to join their well-established team based in Reading. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing and organizing project documentation across multiple construction projects. This position involves ensuring all project-related documents are properly filed, distributed, and controlled in a timely manner while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and reports.
  • Ensure documents are appropriately categorized, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Distribute documents to internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders according to project needs.
  • Maintain version control and ensure all documentation is kept up to date.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure efficient information flow.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures for all documentation.
  • Support project teams in preparing documents for submission to clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Assist in the enhancement of document control processes and systems.
  • Manage the archiving of documents at project completion and oversee the handover of final documentation.
  • Utilize document management software such as Aconex, Viewpoint, or similar platforms to monitor workflows and track documentation progress.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience, in the construction industry. They will have a strong knowledge of construction documentation processes and terminology, proficiency in document management systems such as Aconex, Viewpoint or similar. Our client is seeking an individual with excellent organizations skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and management multiple projects.
