Supply Hive is excited to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Reading city centre. They are seeking a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join their Year 1 team on a full-time basis, supporting a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis. This position is available for an immediate start and offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a nurturing school environment.You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored learning and behavioural support. Your presence will play a crucial role in helping this young learner access the curriculum, build confidence, and enjoy their school experience to the fullest.Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with SEN in a Year 1 classroom
  • Implement individual learning and behaviour plans
  • Foster a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Support with daily classroom activities and transitions
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCo, and parents

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary setting
  • Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Committed to full-time work and available to start ASAP
  • Passionate about supporting young learners
