The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a rewarding role? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company based in Reading, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of electrical systems within commercial and industrial settings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Diagnose and repair faults on a variety of electrical equipment, including lighting, power systems, and control panels.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance tasks and ensure minimal downtime.
- Carry out testing, inspection, and certification of electrical systems in line with regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and support staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Ensure all work is completed in adherence to health and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in commercial or industrial environments.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- BMS knowledge.
