Hours: Monday - Friday (Week 1: 7am - 4pm | Week 2: 10am - 7pm, alternating weeks)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Site Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Biased) to join our team at a newly developed large commercial site in Reading City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a brand-new environment within a close-knit, supportive team. Youll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the electrical and general systems across the site.

This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, with a rotating shift pattern and participation in an on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all electrical systems, including lighting, power, and distribution systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults promptly, ensuring minimal downtime for the facility.
  • Work collaboratively with the on-site maintenance team to address general building maintenance issues as needed.
  • Carry out small installation works and upgrades where required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and any relevant reporting.
  • Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Electrical Qualification (essential).
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well within a small team and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Flexibility to work alternating shift patterns and participate in the call-out rota.
