I’m working with a highly regarded hotel in Reading that has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Financial Controller to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:• Oversee the daily running of the finance team, providing financial support to senior managers and department heads• Ensure financial controls are adhered to in line with corporate standards• Supervise key areas such as cost control, income audit, accounts payable/receivable, and more• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accurate general ledger postings• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and analysis• Use financial data trends and market insights to recommend actions that maximize returns• Support external and statutory audits as needed

What We’re Looking For:Degree in Business/Finance or equivalent work experienceExperience in hotel accounting Experience with financial software such as Opera/Micros, Dynamic, or similar Strong knowledge of finance, budgeting, and accounting processes Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage a finance team
