About the JobReporting to the Senior Technical Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the group’s technical accounting, acquisition due diligence, financial reporting, and external regulatory compliance.
Duties will include:
- Completing the monthly and annual consolidation process, statutory accounting, and group reporting
- Providing key data for corporation tax reporting
- Leading discussions with auditors and advisors, managing the external audit process
- Assisting with financial and tax due diligence for potential acquisitions
- Reviewing completion accounts and determining final payments
- Preparing technical papers on complex accounting issues
- Handling financial reporting for regulated entities within the group
- Supporting the integration of finance functions for acquired companies
- Assisting with group structure simplification and company hive-ups
- Identifying and implementing process improvements within finance systems and controls
- Maintaining the group accounting manual in line with new standards and requirements
You will be ACA qualified, ideally with experience in a reputable firm. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK reporting requirements is essential, along with expertise in consolidations and acquisition accounting. You should have excellent communication and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (with PowerQuery knowledge being an advantage), and the ability to collaborate across departments. A proactive approach to problem-solving, confidence in decision-making, and discretion are key attributes for success in this role.
