Walker Cole International is searching for an Analytical Team Lead to join a leading biopharmaceutical organisation based in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of analytical scientists in a dynamic and growing business focused on the development and manufacture of biologics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of analytical scientists, ensuring high standards of GMP compliance and technical excellence.

  • Oversee the development, validation, and implementation of analytical methods for biologics, including HPLC, UPLC, ELISA, and other bioassays.

  • Lead stability studies, product characterisation, and raw material testing to support manufacturing and regulatory submissions.

  • Collaborate closely with QC, QA, and Process Development teams to ensure seamless project progression.

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for regulatory inspections and audits from agencies such as MHRA and FDA.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in GMP-regulated analytical laboratories within the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong expertise in analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, ELISA, and protein characterisation methods.

  • Experience leading or mentoring a team within a QC or analytical development environment.
