About Us:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a team within a secure prison environment in London. Our facility is committed to providing high-quality mental health care to our patients, ensuring their well-being and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for inmates.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care.
- Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines, including the Mental Health Act.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Must be on the GMC Specialist Register.
- Ideally, hold Section 12 approval.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a forensic or secure setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
