Head of Hospitality (Food & Beverage and Accommodation)
My fabulous entrepreneurial client is creating a brand new modern, fun and inclusive golf, leisure and hospitality experience and is now recruiting for a Head of Hospitality. This is both a hands on role and strategic but definitely would suit someone who is happy and willing to get stuck in and stand in for your GMs on their day offs for instance so not an office job!
This is an exciting role which will be instrumental in the launch and opening of our new lifestyle experience brand. To add to the excitement, as well as launching this new brand, they will also be expanding as a group and will be opening more new sites.
The Head of Hospitality will be responsible for Food & Beverage and Accommodation at each site .As well as ensuring the day-to-day operation runs smoothly, the Head of Hospitality will also be responsible for health and safety, the visitor/guest experience, the team, specific elements of cost control and the cleanliness and presentation of the site.
In line with the exciting re-development and growth plans, project management will also be a key element of this role as sites will temporarily close before being redeveloped and opened as a new concept.
About the Company
The Founders have previously launched Bel and The Dragon, created Third Space Health Clubs & Luxury Gyms and Co-founded Beaverbrook Luxury Country House Hotel & Beaverbrook Town House.
They are now reinventing the traditional golf experience by creating an innovative leisure led concept. As well as various golf, leisure and hospitality experiences, they will also deliver a unique accommodation offering which will include cabins in the natural setting Eco Cabins - think the Hobbit dwelling and you have an idea of the look!
Whilst offering fun and inclusive activities and experiences, my client will also become an environmentally socially and economically sustainable leader in hospitality.
With current sites in Bristol, Exeter, Alton and Farnham, and more to follow in the future. The exciting plans for the re-development of each site include:
- A re-designed 12-hole golf course, including some new innovative features
- A brand-new Putting Course and Driving Range
- New leisure activities such as Pickleball and Padel Tennis
- A brand-new food and beverage provision with two different offerings
- The facilities to offer corporate events and private events, including weddings
- Sustainable Eco Cabin Accommodation
- An Outdoor Woodland Wellbeing Experience
About the Role
The Head of Hospitality will oversee the Accommodation and Food & Beverage operation and teams at each site. In line with our exciting growth and development plans, this role will be instrumental in the opening and launch of the new concept.
Reporting to the Co-Founders of the business, this role will lead the management teams at each site whilst working closely with the Head of Golf, Executive Chef and the wider Senior Leadership Team.
This is a very varied role which will be both operational and strategic.
Location this role will travel to all existing and future sites. At present, my client has sites in Alton, Farnham, Bristol and Exeter.
Travel Requirement - this role will visit all existing and new sites in the future so there will be a need to travel on a regular basis .Given the location of the sites, you will need to be able to drive and also have own own vehicle. This role will also require you to stay away overnight on a regular basis.
Working Days as this is an operational role, you will also be required to work at weekends and evenings as required.

- Comfortable working independently in a very fast-paced start-up environment
- Organised, structured and always striving for excellence and continuous improvement
- Commercial and highly results driven
- Experienced in managing a P&L
- Self-driven and highly motivated
- Detail orientated and passionate about delivering excellence
- Excited about being part of a new business concept and delivering a positive guest and visitor experience
- An experienced and strong Project Manager
- Innovative and able to develop and deliver creative solutions
- Flexible and happy to help and support in a new business start-up environment
- Well presented, confident and outgoing
- Proactive, positive and resilient by nature
- Solutions focused
- Detail orientated
- NEBOSH or IOSH Certificate is also desirable for this role
