Our client, rich in history and with ambitious plans for the future is seeking a passionate Employee Relations Advisor to join its growing HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting a high-performing workforce and ensuring consistent, compliant people management practices.

The Opportunity

As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will be an ER expert, providing crucial support through effective casework management. You will work within a large and complex organisation, supporting a diverse workforce across multiple locations.

What you'll do:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to line managers and employees on all employment matters.
  • Lead end-to-end case management for employee relations issues, supporting all levels of employees across performance, grievance, attendance, and ER projects.
  • Empower line managers by providing coaching and guidance on a range of employment matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, absence management, and other relevant casework.
  • Collaborate with employee representatives and recognised trade unions as needed.
  • Be the first point of contact for line managers and employees, addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Work closely with ER colleagues to ensure consistency and best practices across the division.

You'll be a great fit if you:

  • Are an experienced ER advisor with a proven track record of providing insightful guidance.
  • Have a strong background in case management, ensuring efficient resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Excel at building strong and trusting relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Possess excellent influencing skills to navigate complex situations and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Are highly organised with strong analytical skills to assess situations and make informed decisions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CIPD qualified or working towards your qualification.
  • Proven work experience as an ER Advisor, HR Advisor or HR Generalist managing ER Cases.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong IT proficiency and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and practical experience of ER procedures and practices.
