Degree qualified Embedded Software Engineer with proficiency in Embedded C programming and with practical experience of developing software in the UEFI BIOS, will join a leading provider of Embedded Computing Products.

This established Company with Headquarters in the UK and offices in the US; designs and manufactures a range of embedded products for use in extreme environments used Globally in the Aerospace, Defence, Medical and Industrial Sectors.

The ideal Embedded Software Engineer will possess the following:
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar.
  • Proven commercial Embedded C Programming experience for x86, PowerPC or high-performance ARM processors.
  • Extensive experience with developing software in the UEFI BIOS.
  • Experience programming a variety of hardware devices at register level.
  • Developing low-level embedded software for Linux or similar operating system.

The successful Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of the BIOS BSPs; including Middleware, system and device driver software for Linux, Windows and VxWorks; testing software and supporting the definition of product and software architecture as well as taking a hands-on approach to early hardware bring-up.
