We are looking for a Team Leader to join a small team in the West Reading. You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of a small, fast-paced customer team and will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering orders, logistics, and face to face customer relations. This role requires hands-on involvement, including physical work and team leadership during peak times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check orders via company systems, maintain accurate records, and address customer queries
  • Manage stock, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and timely deliveries
  • Monitor courier services, produce reports, and coordinate international shipments
  • Handle clearances and deliveries, including documentation and casual staff coordination
  • Drive vehicles (up to Luton van size) and lead teams of temporary workers at school sites
  • Maintain and utilize customer and school databases, producing reports as needed
  • Ensure sufficient stock levels and manage rental stock inventory
  • Check and maintain operational equipment
  • Follow and update standard operating procedures to improve efficiency
  • Assist in managing the Gold Care process, including coordination with laundry services and repacking
  • Oversee IT systems, filing, and supply management

 

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Flexible and able to adapt to varying workloads
  • Strong leadership skills to manage temporary teams effectively
  • Suitable backgrounds could be from Hospitality, Retail or Leisure Centre roles
  • Experienced driver essential with own transport
  • Physically fit for occasional lifting in warehouse
  • Confident in liaising with customers
  • Basic IT Proficiency
  • Proactive and able to work independently
