Child-Care Lawyer (12-Month Maternity Cover)

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lawyer to join our client's Child-Care Team on a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable adults, children, and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support families and avoid care proceedings.
  • Commit to reclaiming PLO as a last point of hope for families.
  • Adopt and promote Best Practice within the team.
  • Work closely with the Child Care Court Teams.
  • Handle a wide range of interesting and complex pre-proceedings/PLO cases.
  • Engage with Children’s Services to take a holistic approach to problem-solving.
  • Recognise and manage risks to ensure timely issuance of proceedings when necessary.

  • Experience in handling pre-proceedings/PLO cases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
