Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified Employment Solicitor NQ – 2 years’ PQE to join a top Legal 500 law firm in Reading, Berkshire. This is an excellent chance to work in an expanding, dynamic Employment Law team, advising both businesses and private individuals on a wide range of employment-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Handling a mixed caseload of both contentious and non-contentious employment issues, including:
- Settlement Agreements
- Employment Contracts
- Disciplinary & Grievance Procedures
- Redundancy Matters
- Employment Tribunal Representation
- Corporate Support in employment law matters
- Supporting the team with business development initiatives, including:
- Attending networking events and seminars
- Writing articles for the firm’s monthly eBulletin
- Delivering training workshops
About You:You will ideally have:
- NQ to 2 years PQE with experience in employment law
- A strong academic background (2:1 degree minimum)
- Previous experience from a recognised law firm (London or regional practice)
- Excellent skills in contract drafting and employment law advice
- An interest in business development and marketing
