An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate Property Development Solicitor with 5+ Years PQE to join my clients team in their Reading, Berkshire offices on a hybrid basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join my clients Development & House Building team. You will be supporting the partners on transactional matters along with managing your own caseload with support as needed.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Drafting option agreements, deeds, and contracts.• Undertaking due diligence and providing detailed reporting.• Managing a caseload of development transactions, including acquisitions and disposals of development land, plot sales, planning, and construction matters.• Handling secured acquisition and development finance transactions.• Contributing to processes and documents required for plot sales.• Identifying concerns and risks, and providing practical and commercial solutions.• Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and third parties involved in transactions.• Gaining an understanding of the planning system and its impact on development transactions.• Participating in business development activities and cultivating relationships within the development community.

Skills, Attributes & Experience:

• Relevant development experience is essential.• A proven track record of working autonomously on complex transactions, with partner assistance available as required.• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients and referrers in the development sector• Strong drafting skills, verbal and written communication skills.• Organised and detail-oriented with an ability to approach complex problems methodically.• Practical and commercial thinking, with resourcefulness and a strong work ethic.• A willingness to engage in marketing and business development activities.
