Legal Secretary - EmploymentTSR Legal is delighted to be working with a highly regarded law firm in Reading, offering a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join their fast-paced and friendly Employment team.As a Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in providing full administrative and secretarial support to the Fee Earners within the Employment department, ensuring a seamless and efficient service for both internal and external stakeholders.This is a full-time position, with office attendance required on Tuesdays and Thursdays.Experience & Attributes RequiredEssential:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a secretarial or administrative role.
  • Previous experience working in a legal environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to use initiative.
  • Proven ability to manage a large workload in a fast-paced team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience handling financial and client account queries.

Desirable:

  • Previous Employment Law experience (advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience using case management systems.
  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal PA.
  • Familiarity with the Elite accounts package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing accurate documentation, reports, and correspondence in line with standard office procedures.
  • Providing full secretarial and administrative support to the team.
  • Managing Fee Earners’ diaries and coordinating meetings.
  • Monitoring and updating key court dates.
  • Handling general administrative tasks, including filing, answering calls, and liaising with clients.
  • Proofreading and formatting presentations.
  • Preparing billing guides, invoices, and timecards.
  • Liaising with clients regarding billing queries.
  • Producing spreadsheets to support invoicing and monitoring financial records.
  • Tracking disbursements and ensuring timely payments to third-party suppliers.
