Legal Secretary - EmploymentTSR Legal is delighted to be working with a highly regarded law firm in Reading, offering a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join their fast-paced and friendly Employment team.As a Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in providing full administrative and secretarial support to the Fee Earners within the Employment department, ensuring a seamless and efficient service for both internal and external stakeholders.This is a full-time position, with office attendance required on Tuesdays and Thursdays.Experience & Attributes RequiredEssential:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a secretarial or administrative role.
- Previous experience working in a legal environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to use initiative.
- Proven ability to manage a large workload in a fast-paced team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience handling financial and client account queries.
Desirable:
- Previous Employment Law experience (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience using case management systems.
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal PA.
- Familiarity with the Elite accounts package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing accurate documentation, reports, and correspondence in line with standard office procedures.
- Providing full secretarial and administrative support to the team.
- Managing Fee Earners’ diaries and coordinating meetings.
- Monitoring and updating key court dates.
- Handling general administrative tasks, including filing, answering calls, and liaising with clients.
- Proofreading and formatting presentations.
- Preparing billing guides, invoices, and timecards.
- Liaising with clients regarding billing queries.
- Producing spreadsheets to support invoicing and monitoring financial records.
- Tracking disbursements and ensuring timely payments to third-party suppliers.
