The Materials Planner will play a critical role in managing the supply of materials to meet production demands within a fast-paced environment. This role is based in Reading and involves working cross-functionally to ensure a smooth operation of the supply chain.

Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement materials planning strategies
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock control
  • Liaise with suppliers to maintain strong relationships
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to improve supply chain processes
  • Forecast material needs based on production plans
  • Coordinate with production team to align material availability with production schedules
  • Address and resolve any issues related to material shortages

Profile

The successful candidate would have:

  • Prior Supply Chain experience in a similar role/ industry
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management systems
  • Proficiency with ERP systems
