Senior Mechanical Engineer - Reading / Basingstoke
Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Senior Mechanical Engineer with a passion for creativity across the design lifecycle including undertaking requirements capture, concept generation & development? Do you have a knack for creating detailed CAD designs using software like Inventor, NX, SolidWorks or similar? A leading engineering firm looking for a talented Mid to Senior Mechanical Engineer's to join their team. As part of the team, you will be responsible for producing design calculations, performing analysis, and creating detailed drawings using CAD software. Your work will be critical in ensuring the safety and reliability of systems used in high-risk industries.
Experience needed -
- Excellent Experience in Mechanical Engineering
- MathCad or similar
- CAD Design Software such as Inventor, NX, Solidworks or Similar
- Worked in a Safety Critical Industry, ideally Nuclear
- Experience in the production of design documentation, including calculations; reports, specifications and requirements capture documents.
- Creativity and experience across the design lifecycle including undertaking requirements capture, concept generation & development
We are looking for someone with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, including a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. You should have experience using MathCad or similar software to produce design calculations, as well as experience with CAD software like Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar.
In addition to your technical skills, you should be an excellent communicator and team player. You will be working closely with other engineers, as well as project managers and clients, to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

They are looking to pay a salary between £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience. Excellent benefits, including hybrid working, 10% pension, private healthcare etc.
