Description
Key responsibilities of the Sales Office Manager include:
- Ensuring the smooth running of the department on a day-to-day basis, liaising between clients and all other departments.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to improve and manage team performance.
- To support the Director of Sales with show rounds, proposals, and up-selling.
- Assess and respond to client inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
- Provide a courteous and efficient service and secure business at all times.
- Provide fast, professional and friendly service to guests and customers by handling reservations, group bookings and contracts.
- Create reservations and input via both telephone and email, ensuring that full and accurate details are obtained.
- Deal with travel agent bookings, vouchers and credit requests, ensuring that the company's policy is adhered to at all times.
- Accurate and timely responses to guests, clients and agents in line with their brand standards.
- Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate.
- To assist colleagues and other members of staff to create teamwork and quality service through communication.
- To adopt a 'can do' attitude towards all aspects of customer service through a proactive and flexible approach to meeting customer needs.
Profile
The successful Sales Office Manager will have:
- Previous sales or customer service experience
- Any hopsitality industry experience is highly desirable
- The ability to persuade and influence effectively
- Tenacity and resilience
- Strong work ethic
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work on own initiative as well part of a team
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
