CK Group are recruiting for a Technical Materials Manager, to join a global Consumer Healthcare company, who are based in Reading, on a contract basis for 12 months.

Location:

The role is based in Reading.


Role:
  • Lead technical materials projects for global OTC and Food Supplement brands within the Personal Health Care portfolio.
  • As the key technical contact you will be expected to ensure required supply, quality and regulatory aspects are managed enabling projects to be planned and executed with excellence.
  • Strong collaboration across functions such as Quality, Safety, Regulatory, Purchases, Operations, Engineering and Brand as well as with other R&D groups and more broadly across sites globally.
  • Communicate effectively with external suppliers.
  • Collect, rigorously check, document and share raw material data in a high quality and timely manner with multi-functional project partners.

Your Background:

  • Educated todegree level or above in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials, Life Sciences etc.
  • Experience in a similar role in manufacturing company making FMCG, Pharma, Biotech or food products with experience of qualifying raw material and consumer goods products.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Advanced skills in critical appraisal of data.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders, written and verbal.
