We are currently recruiting for a Pensions / Payroll Administrator to join our Reading based client on a temporary basis for initially 3 months. You will be responsible for the accurate processing of the internal payroll.

  • Job Type: 3-month temporary position
  • Location: Reading, hybrid working available
  • Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 9am - 5.30pm
  • Salary: £15 - £17 per hour, depending on experience

Your role as a Pensions / Payroll Administrator will be to:

  • Run monthly and weekly payrolls from start to finish, including all statutory deductions, payments, and starters / leavers P45s
  • Process the monthly and weekly pensions documentation with regards to new starters
  • Administering of Auto enrolment activities, covering but not solely, assessments, actioning pensions opt outs, stop contributions / early opt ins.
  • Handle bulk data transfer to Pensions providers
  • Generating appropriate Auto enrolment communications and letters as defined by processes.
  • Act as subject matter expert for all pensions related activities
  • To act as first point of contact for pension scheme queries
  • Communicate highly detailed information on procedures and when required
  • Payroll year end reporting, including P60s/P11Ds

Experience and skills required for the Pensions / Payroll Administrator role:

  • Prior experience in processing and checking payrolls is essential
  • Exposure to pensions administration is ideal
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Experience of advanced data manipulation in Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of current pensions legislation
  • High attention to detail
  • Highly professional and confidential
  • Tactful and self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate well with people at all levels and from a variety of backgrounds
  • Resilient, calm, and composed whilst assertive when required
  • Logically minded with a proven systematic/methodical approach to work
  • Procedural driven with the ability to work independently and using own initiative
