About the Role


We are seeking a qualified Electrical Inspector to join our clients growing team, providing essential inspection services across a site in Reading, England. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record of inspecting electrical systems within the renewable energy, oil & gas, logistics, or construction sectors.



Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical systems, including power distribution networks, substations, and other electrical equipment, to ensure compliance with current UK regulations (IEE Wiring Regulations, BS7671).
  • Prepare and deliver detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to clients to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate inspection activities into overall project plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external clients, providing expert advice and support.
  • Prioritize health and safety on all sites, ensuring that recommendations and reports align with safety standards.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of an Electrical Engineering NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualification in City and Guilds 2391 or 2392
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience within the UK.
  • Possess a clean UK driving license.
  • Independent inspection qualifications or certifications (e.g., CSCS, CCNSG, ECS) are highly desirable.
