Are you an aspiring clinical psychologist looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and rewarding environment? This is an incredible opportunity to work as a Learning Support Assistant with vulnerable boys and girls in a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Reading.

This role is ideal for aspiring clinical psychologists or educational psychologists who want to make a genuine difference in the lives of children who face significant challenges. This is the first step of your career, helping you qualify and disqualify the mental health sector, in education, for yourself.

Aspiring Clinical Psychologist - Education and Training - Aspiring Clinical Psychologist in Reading

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support to vulnerable boys and girls with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • Work with children who may have experienced trauma and/or are at risk of being trafficked.
  • Support small classes of 4-6 children, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist children with neurodivergent traits and elements, encouraging their development and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement tailored support plans.

About the Role

  • Start Date: Third week of January (trial days and weeks available for a smooth transition).
  • Pay: £95 - £105 per day (term-time only).
  • Location: Reading, Berkshire.
