Are you a graduate passionate about Psychology or Mental Health, eager to gain practical experience in a specialized educational environment? Academics LTD is partnering with a remarkable school in Reading that offers high-quality, personalized support for children aged 5 to 18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school is seeking an empathetic and motivated individual to fill the role of Autism Specialist, working closely with experienced SEN practitioners and psychologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with external professionals, including psychologists, to provide individualized support for students
  • Assist students in developing emotional regulation, social skills, and resilience
  • Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Exhibit a strong interest in working with children or in the SEN field
  • Maintain a positive, calm, and proactive approach, demonstrating a keen interest in Psychology

This role provides an excellent opportunity for graduates to immerse themselves in an educational setting, gaining valuable experience that will be beneficial for future careers in Psychology, Mental Health, or Education. While no prior experience is required, qualifications such as a degree or Level 3 certification are advantageous.

In this position, you will work on a 1:1 or small group basis, assisting students with Autism, behavioral challenges, sensory processing issues, and communication difficulties.
