Estimator
We have a fantastic opportunity for a construction Estimator to join an established regional main contractor based in Reading. The business is family owned and has been established for over 100 years, operating across several project sectors including commercial, education, social housing and research & development valuing up to 15mil. Projects are a procured via all routes including single, two-stage and negotiated tenders.
About this Estimator role:
As Estimator, you will be responsible for tendering projects from first principles, working within the pre-construction team to create bids which both fulfil the clients needs and are competitive in the market. You will be working closely with the design and operational teams and report directly into the Pre-Construction Manager.
Key Responsibilities as Estimator:
- Work from first principles
- Independently tender projects valuing up to 20mil.
- Work collaboratively with Surveying and Operational teams to produce competitive tenders
- Support and mentor junior members of staff
Key Requirements for this Estimator role:
- Construction related degree / qualifications
- Proven track record of independently tendering construction schemes to the value of 15mil
- A minimum of 5 years experience in an Estimating position
- Must have the full right to work in the UK
- Must be happy to commute to Reading
