Quantity Surveyor

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable main contractor based in Reading. The business operates across several sectors including pharmaceutical, life sciences and commercial valuing up to 75mil. As a result of a recent project win, they're now looking to expand the commercial team with an additional Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on an upcoming scheme alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will report into the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
  • Manage sub-contract procurement
  • Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
  • Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
  • Deal with final accounts

Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor position:

  • Hold a HNC / construction related degree
  • Have administered JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • Must have the full right to work in the UK
  • Must be happy to commute to Reading and sites as required
