Position: Assistant Property Manager

Location: Head Office, Chiltern House, Marsack Street, Caversham, Reading

Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday - Friday

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Description:

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for supporting the Property Management team in delivering it’s services to Chaney’s clients and customers.  Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • To be the first point of contact for all telephone enquiries
  • General office administrative duties
  • Arranging meeting venues, distributing agenda and associated paperwork in good time
  • Running mail merges and distributing correspondence as directed by the Property Manager
  • Maintain up to date contact details on our internal software system
  • Handling enquiries and/or direct calls to the relevant staff member
  • Writing emails and letters as directed by Property Managers
  • Responding to resident or leaseholder enquiries within a set timescale
  • Managing the insurance renewals process
  • Managing asset maintenance contracts and utility renewals
  • Maintain relevant and up to date contractor’s information in our software system
  • Producing works orders for contractors to undertake property maintenance
  • Chase works orders, making sure the contractors are fulfilling their requirements on time
  • Obtaining quotations for a range of maintenance works
  • Liaising with residents and updating them with progress of works
  • Assisting in drafting the pre contract sales information (LPE1’s) as required

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 1yrs experience in the property sector.
  • AIRPM/ATPI desirable (must be willing to work towards this qualification).
  • Some knowledge of leasehold management would be advantageous.
  • A proven track record in customer services including stakeholder management.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft packages.
  • Excellent levels of English both Oral and Written.
  • Effective negotiation and client handling skills.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to organise/prioritise own workload.
