We are working alongside a highly regarded secondary school in Berkshire, seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry. This long-term supply contract starts in January 2025 and offers an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to make a real difference in students' academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons, with an emphasis on Chemistry, to Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on students' progress, ensuring each student achieves their full potential.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental meetings and training.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver extracurricular science activities, where possible.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    • A degree in Chemistry or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience teaching Science, particularly Chemistry, at secondary school level.
    • Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Skills:
    • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry.
    • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
    • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
