Are you an experienced HLTA or SEN specialist ready to take on a leadership role in a supportive and forward-thinking primary school? We are seeking a dedicated HLTA with at least 10 years of experience or a HLTA qualification to lead and develop SEN support strategies for pupils in Theale, West Berkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to play a key role in shaping the Theale, Reading school's SEN provision, working closely with senior leaders, teachers, and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.

The Higher Level Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Lead SEN Interventions - Oversee and deliver targeted support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs.
  • Mentor and Train Support Staff - Guide Teaching Assistants in effective SEN strategies and classroom inclusion.
  • Develop Individual Support Plans - Work with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to create tailored learning plans.
  • Deliver Whole-Class & Small-Group Teaching - Step in for PPA cover, supporting pupils' academic progress.

Who We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience working with SEN children in a primary school setting.
