We are working alongside a brilliant school in Reading who are seeking a confident individual to take on the role of Mental Health Assistant this term. The school provide education to students that have additional social, emotional and mental health needs. The main responsibilities of a Mental Health Assistant:

  • Implementing therapeutic techniques (assisted by educational psychologists)
  • Creating a safe space for students to express themselves
  • Identifying potential triggers leading to challenging behaviour
  • Collaborating with class teachers to tailor learning material
  • Acting as a role model to students
