A really rewarding position has become available for a Mental Health Worker to work in a school in Reading. This is an excellent position to gain really valuable experience whilst also making a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable children.

They place a huge focus on supporting students who have been diagnosed with Autism, and ensure they are being met with the necessary interventions to support their development and education.

As a Youth Mental Health Worker you will directly be involved in helping children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health, regulate their emotions and adopt healthy coping strategies.

Your day-to-day duties will involve supporting and shadowing the class teacher, whilst providing 1:1 support for the SEN students. You will also help run exciting lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and exciting place. Behavioural management may also be required.

Overall this will be a transformative experience, enriching your life while also making a positive impact on the lives of children who are struggling to cope in the classroom

Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential. Those with a background in sports, art or drama will also be at an advantage. Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.
