Overview:

As a Satellite Communications Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting both R&D activities and customer operations, focusing on satellite communications for GEO and Non-GEO links with diverse applications.

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to develop cutting-edge algorithms and satellite communication software modules while engaging with customers to ensure the core technology aligns with their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Satellite Network Design: Support the design of GEO and Non-GEO satellite constellations using advanced software tools.
  • Prototype Development: Create and test prototype solutions for Non-GEO constellations, integrating them as product features.
  • Requirement Analysis: Evaluate requirements for GEO and Non-GEO systems to inform system designs.
  • Research & Development: Conduct research on system designs for satellite links, including atmospheric propagation and ITU-R standards.
  • Link Budgets and Orbit Calculations: Perform link budget analyses and calculate Non-GEO orbits to optimize system performance.
  • Proposal Support: Contribute to research and commercial proposals by drafting technical content.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work in multi-disciplinary teams to prepare user stories, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Customer Support: Provide 24/7 support as part of a dedicated team.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Experience: Proven track record in a similar role within the satellite or telecommunications industry.
  • Software Development: Strong expertise in Python for developing software solutions.
  • Satellite Communications: Solid understanding of satellite and telecommunication systems, including link budgets and orbit calculations.
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with ITU-R recommendations and atmospheric propagation.
