Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding components and structures made of stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals using the TIG welding process. The TIG Welder must be able to work from engineering drawings, ensure the highest quality welds, and meet production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on various metals including stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to fabricate parts and assemblies.
  • Prepare and set up the necessary tools and materials for welding.
  • Perform precise cutting, welding, and fitting operations to specified tolerances.
  • Inspect welded components for quality assurance, ensuring welds meet standards for structural integrity and appearance.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain welding equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and project specifications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or foreman.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder or similar role.
  • Proficiency in TIG welding techniques on metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of welding safety practices, PPE, and proper handling of welding equipment.
  • Familiarity with welding machines and tools, including setup and maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle demanding tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in welding (AWS, ASME, or similar).
  • Experience with other welding methods (MIG, Stick, etc.).
  • Knowledge of metallurgy and metal properties.
