Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Science Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of scientists? GSL Education is delighted to be working with a highly regarded secondary school in Redcar, seeking a committed individual to deliver high-quality Science teaching across KS3 and KS4 – with the potential for KS5.

About the Role:
This role is ideal for a Science Teacher who can deliver engaging and interactive lessons, bringing the subject to life through hands-on experiments and real-world applications. You’ll join a supportive Science department with excellent resources and a shared commitment to student success.

Responsibilities as a Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 if applicable)

  • Inspire students to develop a love for Science and pursue academic excellence

  • Differentiate content to cater to a range of abilities and learning styles

  • Mark and assess students’ work in line with national curriculum standards

  • Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, and school life

Requirements to be a Science Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

  • Previous experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A valid, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
