About Us:Randstad is partnering with the Children and Families Team in Redcar & Cleveland to recruit a dedicated and experienced Social Worker. This role offers the chance to make a real difference by working with children and families in need, helping to ensure the safety, stability, and well-being of vulnerable children in the community.

Job Description:As a Social Worker in the Children and Families Team, you will manage a caseload of children and families requiring intervention and support. You will carry out assessments, develop care plans, and work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver services aimed at promoting the welfare and protection of children.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and families, conducting assessments to identify needs and risks.
  • Work closely with children, families, and professionals from education, health, and other agencies to provide coordinated services.
  • Participate in child protection conferences, core group meetings, and care plan reviews.
  • Prepare reports for court and attend court proceedings as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory and professional standards.
  • Promote the safety, development, and welfare of children at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working in children's services, ideally within a Children and Families or Child Protection Team.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and care planning.
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with court work and multi-agency collaboration is desirable.
