We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supervising Social Worker to join a successful North East team, with a base in the Middlesbrough office. You'll play a vital role in supporting foster carers and the children entrusted to their care across the region.
What you'll do:

  • Provide exceptional supervision and support to foster families.
  • Collaborate effectively with other professionals involved in the children's lives.
  • Develop insightful reports and attend meetings.
  • Champion the well-being of children in foster care.


What we're looking for:

  • A genuine desire to achieve positive outcomes for children.
  • Strong commitment to our values: respect, honesty, transparency, reliability, and a child-centered approach.
  • Experience managing a caseload
  • Willingness to participate in our on-call system for out-of-hours support.
  • Relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • In-depth knowledge of fostering regulations, child protection, and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A car and valid driving license (for out-of-hours requirements).
