Empowering learning require numerous intervention tutors to work in the community in the Redcar and Cleveland area to support students in hubs, own homes, libraries and schools. The hours are varied to meet the needs of the student but would be Monday to Friday. To support students with core subjects of Maths, English and Science. The students have a variation of SEN needs from autism, anxiety, SEMH or students that are unable to attend school due to exclusion. Some of the students may have behaviours that challenge.

Continuity is required at all times to break down the barriers to learning

Calm, adaptable and a patient person who has an understanding of how to support students on their learning journey

To liaise with professionals involved with the student

Good communicator and able to de escalate situations should they arise

To provide support to the student with the work that could be set, depending on the situation might involve some planning

Suitable qualifications for the role such as QTS, PGCE, tutor qualification or equivalent

Experience of supporting student with SEN needs

Have a DBS on the update or be willing to apply for one
