Job Title: Hydraulic Manifold Technician
Hours: 08:00-17:00 M-T / 08:00 -12:00 F

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and testing of complex hydraulic manifolds. This includes interpreting technical drawings and test specifications to understand the requirements. You will uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in all tasks. Collaboration with a small team and maintaining comprehensive records for each process stage is essential.

Upon completing product testing, you will assist the team in evaluating the test's success. If the test fails, you will help diagnose failure modes, whether related to the test equipment or the product and determine the next steps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, and test hydraulic manifolds.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and test specifications.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with a small team.
  • Keep detailed records of each process stage.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving test failures.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • HNC qualification (or equivalent) with a focus on fluid power, or relevant experience with strong hydraulics knowledge; electronics knowledge is desirable.
  • Understanding of electrohydraulic circuits.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic servo circuits and their electro/mechanical interfaces.
  • Familiarity with fluid pressures (up to 350 Bar) and associated hazards.
  • Awareness of accumulators and stored energy.
  • Willingness to learn, especially in closed-loop electromechanical circuits.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Process-driven mentality to meet customer requirements consistently.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of electronics, particularly instrumentation and analogue closed-loop circuits.
