A growing manufacturer specialist-engineered parts for high-end Automotive and Yellow Goods clients is looking for a Mechanical Fitter. Based near Redditch, they use both manual and automated manufacturing techniques across various materials. This role offers full autonomy to help lead site maintenance and drive best practices. Mechanical Fitter duties include -
- Oversee scheduled PPM to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Perform tank maintenance, salt spray testing, and paint thickness checks.
- Handle general site and factory maintenance.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors.
- Manage stock levels and reorder consumables as needed.
Mechanical Fitter desirable skills and experience -
- Experience working in a similar role (Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias)
- Sector experience - Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial, or Yellow Goods.
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering with strong fault-finding skills.
- PPM and reactive maintenance experience - ideally replacing sensors, motors, pumps.
