A leading FMCG manufacturing business are looking for a Materials Planner to join their growing supply chain team. As a Materials Planner you will be responsible for managing stock control and allocation of materials. The company is open to hiring an experienced Materials Planner or a Graduate who is looking to develop their career. 

What You Will Do:

• Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production schedules and maintain minimum safety stock levels.• Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions and manage day-to-day order management and supplier delivery scheduling.• Understand and manage risks to minimise impact on production schedules and take follow-up actions in relation to material shortages.• Utilise IT systems (e.g., Sage, WMS, Supplier portals) to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues as required.• Minimise obsolete stock and ensure the business is left with minimum liability.• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments to ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries are made on time.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience in materials planning within a manufacturing environment.• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.• Commercial and financial awareness with an understanding of how failure impacts cost, production time, and customer order fulfilment.• Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.• Good communication skills with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
